The genus Wittia comprises small epiphyte cacti found in Colombia, Panama and as far as northern Peru. They are very appreciated as decorative plant because of their prolific flowering.

Description
Wittia species are highly ramified. Ramifications are thin, green and flat, reaching 15 to 45 cm in length and 4 to 7 cm in width. The central vein is very marked, and the edge of each ramification clearly crenellated.
Flowers are cylindricalm red or red-violet and slightly bluish . They are rarely bigger than 2.5 cm in length. Fruits are small and angular, red-greenish or red.

Culture
These species are easy to grow; they multiply by seed or by cuttings, as is usually the case for epiphyte cacti.
