Watershed has more than one meaning:
- A watershed (European) is the boundary of a river basin or similar drainage basin. (ligne de partage des eaux Fr. or Wasserscheide Ger.)
- A watershed (American) is the region of land whose water drains into a specified body of water. In Commonwealth English usage, this is known as a river or drainage basin, or a catchment area.
- A watershed (television) is the time of day before which programme content of a specified or implied kind may not be screened and after which it is permissible. It is a figurative use of the word in its original meaning as a boundary between basins.
- Watershed (band)
