Uruguayan Air Force

The Uruguayan Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya) was founded on 17 March 1913 as a military aviation school near Montevideo using French Farman aircraft.

By 1935, this had grown into a full-fledged air force, called the Aeronáutica Militar. The present name has been used since 4 December 1952
