Ulster Bank, one of the Big Four in Ireland is a large commercial bank. Whilst its main base is in Belfast, in Northern Ireland, the bank also maintains a large sector of the financial services throughout the island of Ireland, i.e. including the Republic of Ireland. The bank also has operations in the Isle of Man. The Bank is currently owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland whilst it retains the logo of its former owner NatWest, the three chevrons. The bank is one of the four banks that issues Pound Sterling banknotes in Northern Ireland.

Ulster Bank offers the Switch and Laser debit cards to Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland customers respectively, in addition to other financial services. The bank is also associated with First Active, through the Royal Bank of Scotland.
