USS Nassau

Two ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Nassau, after the Nassau Sound off Florida.

• The first Nassau (CVE-16) was an escort aircraft carrier in service from 1943 to 1946.

• The second Nassau (LHA-4) is an amphibious assault ship commissioned 1979 and on active service as of 2004.
