Twin is most often used to refer to a pair of any similar objects or concepts:

- Twin city or twin town may refer to
- Twin cities: two towns or cities that are geographically close to each other, and often referred to collectively.
- Town twinning or sister cities: two distant cities agree to partner each other, for various reasons.
- A Twin prime is a prime number that differ from another prime number by two.
- Two crystallites which share atoms at repeated intervals and have only a minor difference in orientation. These meet at a twin boundary.

- The Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball take their name from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
