Twenty-second dynasty of Egypt
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
The Twenty-second (22nd) dynasty ruled between 945 BC and 715 BC. Their kings were Meshwesh Libyans (they had been settling in Egypt since the 20th dynasty). Manetho states that the dynasty originated at Bubastis, but the kings actually ruled during most of the period from Tanis.
