Trunk code
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
"Trunk code (ТС)" is a digit or a combination of digits, used prior to the subscriber number for long distance dialling, not including the national prefix, which identifies uniquely a numbering area in a given country. It is dialled before the subscriber number whenever the caller and the respondent are located in different numbering areas. Trunk codes represent one of the applications of the national destination code (NDC) standard.
