In Scrabble, a triple letter score, or TLS, is a premium scoring space. This means that a letter set on the board covers a "Triple Letter Score" space. That letter scores thrice as much as it normally would. In the pictorial example to the right, the first I and the T in the word officiate cover "Triple Letter Score" squares, scoring three points each.
On the board, a "Triple Letter Score" space is designated by a dark blue colour.
