Tri-state area

There are many places in the United States known as tri-state areas where three states meet at one point or in close proximity to each other. Probably the most populous, and thus most well-known, is the Tri-State Region around New York City where New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut meet. Others are often more rural regions. They include:
- Alabama-Florida-Mississippi
- Alabama-Georgia-Tennessee
- Illinois-Kentucky-Missouri
- Indiana-Michigan-Ohio
- Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio
- Iowa-Illinois-Wisconsin
- Iowa-Minnesota-Wisconsin
- Delaware-New Jersey-Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metro area)
- Kentucky-Ohio-West Virginia
- Minnesota-North Dakota-South Dakota
- Ohio-Pennsylvania-West Virginia
