Treaty of Nonsuch

The Treaty of Nonsuch was signed by Elizabeth I of England and the United Provinces on August 20, 1585 at Nonsuch Palace in Surrey. England agreed to supply 1000 calavrymen, 6350 infantrymen and an annual subsidy. The Dutch were to hand over Ostend, Brielle and Vlissingen to England as a guarantee that English expenses would be reimbursed.
