The word topology can refer to:
- The branch of mathematics called topology.
- The collection of open sets used to define a topological space.
- A term used to describe configurations of computer networks. See network topology.
- A configuration of electronic components.
- The study or science of places. It derives its name from the Greek words τοπος meaning place and λογος meaning study, talk. See also: earth science, geography, human geography, geomorphology
