Tongliao

Tongliao (通辽) is a city with more than 324,300 inhabitants (as of 31st of December of 2001) in the East of Inner Mongolia in the People's Republic of China. Tongliao is the seat of Tongliao prefecture. Tongliao Power Station is here. Inner Mongolia University for the Nationalities and Inner Mongolia College of Farming and Animal Husbandry are among the educational institutions of Tongliao. Not far from Tongliao are silica sands. Tongliao City reeducation through labor and Tongliao Prison are here.
