Thomas H. Hicks

Thomas Holliday Hicks (b. September 2, 1798; d. February 14, 1865) was an American politician from Maryland. He was appointed to the U.S. Senate from Maryland in 1862 following the death of his predecessor, James A. Pearce, and served until his own death in 1865. He was also Governor of Maryland from 1858 to 1862, and a member of both the Maryland State Senate and Maryland House of Delegates.
