Thisted municipality

Thisted municipality is a Danish municipality in Viborg County. It is on the north bank of Limfjord. With a surface area of 563,6 kmē and a population of 20,000, Thisted is one of Denmark's largest municipalities.

The economy is based around the agricultural trade. The final stop on the northern route of the railway line from Struer, Thisted is the birthplace of the geographer Conrad Malte-Brun and writer Jens Peter Jacobsen.
