The Sigma Protocol (2002) is the last book written by Robert Ludlum, and published posthumously. It is the story of the son of a Holocaust survivor who gets entangled in an international conspiracy by industrialists and financiers to take advantage of wartime technology.
Ben Hartman is vacationing in Switzerland when he meets his old school buddy Cavanough. From here on a nightmare begins. Ben's friend tries to kill him, but fails. Ben must then follow leads and clues his twin brother left for him before he died in a plane accident. As Ben digs deeper into the case he discovers a conspiracy so vast that it could change history as we know it. The only way for Ben to survive and find out the mystery is with the help of a Federal Agent, Anna Navarro.
The book is based on the Bilderberg Group and the myths and mysteries surrounding it.
