The Secret Agent

The Secret Agent is a 1907 novel by Joseph Conrad. It concerns a terrorist bombing planned by the main character, Verloc, an English anarchist. It has been adapted for film and television on several occasions.
Theodore Kaczynski was found to have read the book over a dozen times.
