The Science of Discworld III: Darwin's Watch (ISBN 0091898234) is a book set in the Discworld universe, by Terry Pratchett, Ian Stewart and Jack Cohen.
The book alternates between a serious scientific discussion of evolution and the changes in the idea over the years, and a Discworld story. In the Discworld story, the wizards discover that the bottle universe they created in the first book has been altered in such a fashion that the humans do not survive an Extinction Level Event. They discover that human survival is tied to a book called The Origin of Species, and set out to ensure that it is written.
