The Orthogonian Society
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
The Orthogonian Society is a local fraternity at Whittier College, co-founded by Richard Nixon and primarily known for its football team heritage.
It is rumored that Nixon's college hijinks cost the college their fraternities. According to Whittier admissions representatives, Nixon formed a fraternity just for the school to make up for their loss. Every campus tour of Whittier includes Nixon as the reason for the college's lack of fraternities and sororities to this day.
