The Lost Tapes was the 8th album release by Queensbridge rapper Nas. The album was a compilation of Nas' previously unreleased tracks. Released shortly following his 5th studio album, Stillmatic, The Lost Tapes brought back, in the opinions of many hip-hop fans, the street credibility that Nas seemed to have lost over the years while breaking into the mainstream.
