Los Angeles Daily News

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

(Redirected from The Los Angeles Daily News)

Los Angeles Daily News is the second largest circulating daily newspaper of Los Angeles, California. It is published by the Los Angeles Newspaper Group, which owns eight other Southern California newspapers including The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and The Long Beach Press-Telegram.

The offices of the L.A. Daily News are based in Woodland Hills, and much of the paper's reporting is targeted toward readers in suburban areas of the city. As a result, its stories tend to focus on issues surrounding business, education, and crime, and it is generally taken to have a center-right editorial orientation as opposed to The Los Angeles Times and other area periodicals. It also has historically had more front-page coverage of local Valley politics and government than the Times.

The LA Newspaper Group publishes several local editions, including The Daily News - Antelope Valley, Daily News - Santa Clarita, Daily News - Ventura County, and San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
