Tekle Giyorgis II (born Wagshum Gobeze; died 1873) was negus negust of Ethiopia (1868 - 1872). He was the heir to the old Zagwe dynasty, from whom came the rulers of Lasta, and his mother was a descendant of the Solomonid dynasty, and he based his claim to the Imperial throne on this dual heritage.
Tekle Giyorgis attempted to assert his claim on the throne by moving against Dejazmatch Kassai (the future Emperor Yohannes IV), crossing the Takazze River in 1871; however, Dejazmatch Kassai defeated him near Adowa on July 11 of that year, capturing and deposing Tekle Giyorgis. Tekle Giyorgis died in captivity the next year.
