Tekax, sometimes spelled Tecax, is a small city in Yucatán state, Mexico, located at
20°20′ N 89°28′ W (http://kvaleberg.com/extensions/mapsources/index.php?params=20_20_N_89_28_W_).
In 2003 Tecax had an estimated population of about 22,000. The majority of the population are Maya.
