Techniques d'Avant Garde

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Techniques d'Avant Garde was an investment company that sponsored WilliamsF1 in the early 1980s and funded the construction of turbocharged Porsche engines to Team McLaren in the mid 1980s.

TAG Heuer was formed in 1985 when Techniques d'Avant Garde joined the Heuer group, which was already a renowned watchmaker specializing in racing chronographs. Together they modernized the product line and became one of the biggest names in Swiss watches.

The company is owned by Mansour and Akram Ojjeh, wealthy Saudi entrepeneurs.
