THOMAS is the name of the database of United States Congress legislative information, which started in 1995. It provides a comprehensive internet source of information on the activities of Congress.
These include:
- detailed information on the texts of bills passing through Congress
- voting results, including details of how individual members voted.
- members of Senate and House committees
- summary of the Congressional activities on any day/week
- A link to online versions of Historical Documents, including
The database is named after Thomas Jefferson, who was the third President of the United States.
