Suzanne Mubarak

Suzanne Mubarak is the first lady of Egypt. Suzanne Mubarak, the daughter of an Egyptian doctor and a Welsh nurse. (Suzanne Saleh Sabet)(b. 28/2/1941) Welsh mother Lily May Palmer. She enrolled at St. Claire's school, Heliopolis. This was a strict girls-only Heliopolis prep school operated by Mother Mary Cecilia and a band of Franciscan sisters. She is Married to Hosni Mubarak (the president) she is well known for her numerous charitable works carried out in Egypt. She has established many orphanages and schools for children - in particular. Suzanne Mubarak also recently met with Laura Bush in her 2005 trip to Egypt. She is fluent in English and Arabic, and has remarkable poise.
Mrs. Mubarak was born in Menya, which is a city located on the Nile River in Egypt. She studied at St. Claire Heliopolis in Cairo during high school and moved on to study at the American University in Cairo .She received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science[class of *77] and a Master's degree in Sociology[1982] of Education. For the Master's degree, her topic of study was "Social Action Research in Urban Egypt: A Case of Primary School Upgrading in Bulaq." She has two sons and one grandson.
Mrs. Mubarak and Jihan Sadat benefited from several years of priming as wives of incumbent Vice Presidents. In their position as Second Ladies they had enough time to envisage their future roles, the advantage of-course is that Suzanne had Jehan for an intimate mentor.
Mrs. Mubarak serves as a patron of the children's television series, Alam Simsim, Egypt's version of the American series, Sesame Street, which she believes improves children's communication and reading skills.
