Subdivisions of Oman

Oman is divided into five regions (mintaqah) and three governorates (muhafazat; singular - muhafazah).
The regions are subdivided into provinces (wilayat).
- Ad Dakhiliyah
- Al Batinah
- Al Wusta
- Ash Sharqiyah
- Az Zahirah or Ad Dhahirah
- Masqat (governorate)
- Musandam (governorate)
- Zufar or Dhofar (governorate)
