Stark Hyperspace War

The Stark Hyperspace War (44 BBY) is a fictional conflict described in the Star Wars universe.
The last major conlict in the galaxy prior to the battle of Naboo pitted the Galactic Republic against the Stark Commercial Combine, led by the pirate Iaco Stark. The war was used by the Trade Federation to increase their droid army to protect their ships from attack by pirates.

The Stark Hyperspace War
The Stark Hyperspace War began when pirate Iaco Stark created the Stark Commercial Combine, a group of smugglers from areas in the Outer Rim territories. The Combine begins to attack ships, conquering them and stealing their bacta for Outer Rim systems, claiming that there is a dire need for it.
In the Senate, many people are outraged. Senator Finis Valorum, Senator Nute Gunray, and Senator Ranulph Tarkin discuss the issue with the Wookie Jedi Master and Jedi Council member Tyvokka, who believes the shortage is a fake. The end decision is to send a team of Jedi (Plo Koon, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Adi Gallia, Quinlan Vos, Tholme), backed up by the Republic army, to meet and consult with Stark.
However, when they arrive to meet with Stark, they find out the meeting is a trap. Their navcomputers are infected with a technovirus that prevents them from traveling through hyperspace, leaving them stranded and surrounded by Stark's forces.
Tyvokka continues to investigate, but he is ambushed and killed by Stark's men, leaving the Jedi without a leader. However, Plo Koon bravely stands up and leads the group to an astounding victory with help from Plo's neice, Sha, preventing Stark from taking control of the Republic's hyperspace lines.
These actions won Plo Koon a lifetime seat on the Jedi Council.
