Staples Center

Staples Center is a sports arena in downtown Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District. It is located near the intersection of Interstate highways I-10 and I-110. It is named for the Staples office-supply company, one of the center's corporate sponsors.

Staples Center is the home arena for the following teams:

The center opened in 1999, and seats 18,997 for basketball, 18,118 for ice hockey, and 17,942 for arena football.

The Staples Center attendance record is held by WWE Wrestlemania 21 with a crowd of 20,193 on April 3, 2005.

In addition to sporting events, Staples Center is also used a venue for concerts and award shows. Staples Center was the venue for the 2000 Democratic National Convention.
