Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome

Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome is a dermatological condition caused by Staphylococcus aureus. The syndrome is induced by the exotoxin "exfoliatin", which is released by S. aureus and causes the epidermis to detach from the underlying dermis.
