Stadium-Armory (Washington Metro)

Stadium-Armory is a Washington Metro station in Washington, DC on the Blue and Orange Lines. It is a transfer station for the Blue and Orange lines, but they do not cross; this is where the two lines converge going west.

The station is located in Southeast Washington, with entrances on 19th Street at C Street and Independence Avenue. The station also serves the DC Armory, a popular venue for shows and entertainment, the DC General Hospital, and the DC Jail. It also serves RFK Stadium, the former home of the Washington Redskins, current home of the DC United soccer team, and currently the temporary home of the Washington Nationals. Service began on July 1, 1977.
