St Lucia, Queensland

St. Lucia is a suburb of Brisbane located in the Inner West. It is a generally green suburb with a small number of apartment complexes and generally more Queenslander and Federation style housing.
The University of Queensland is located in St. Lucia at a bend in the Brisbane river, and a number of small shopping complexes can be located throughout the suburb.
It has been reported in documents relating to the history of Brisbane that the suburb is named after the island of St Lucia.
