(Redirected from Sports Entertainment)
Sports entertainment is a type of entertainment that superficially takes the form of a sporting event, but with more emphasis on dramatic storylines, humor, spectacle or titillation than on the contest of athletic skills. Sports entertainment is epitomized by professional wrestling. Some sports entertainment events have a predetermined winner, while in others the winner is determined just as it is in a normal sporting event. The term itself was coined by wrestling impresario Vince McMahon when describing the first WrestleMania pay-per-view.
