Spectre (creature)

A spectre is a representation of something supernatural or frightening, usually imaginary. In some role-playing or fantasy worlds, a specter is a particularly powerful type of undead. Compare with "phantom", "haunt". The term usually refers to a ghost, or sometimes to another kind of spiritual being or sprite.
