South Sandwich Trench

The South Sandwich Trench is the deepest point of the Southern Atlantic Ocean.
The trench has a maximum depth of 7235 meters (23,737 feet) below sea level.
Other references quote the depth of the trench as 8428 m (27651 ft). Clarification on the depth is required.
