Soroca

Soroca is a city in the north of Moldova with a population in 2004 of 39,400. Its geographical location is 48°10′ N 28°18′ E (http://kvaleberg.com/extensions/mapsources/index.php?params=48_10_N_28_18_E_). It is well known for its excellently preserved stronghold, established by King Stefan The Great (Ştefan cel Mare in Romanian) in 1489.
