Solomon Islands dollar

The Solomon Islands Dollar was introduced in 1975 to replace the Australian Dollar after independence. It is still in the Commonwealth and continues to have the Queen on its coins. Over the 30 years since and especially during the civil war of 1999-2001, devaluation has taken its toll, with the Solomon Islands Dollar now equal to 20 Australian cents. Banknotes come in:
