Skwierzyna
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
Skwierzyna (Schwerin an der Warthe in German) is a small town in Lubuskie, western Poland. It is located between Miedzyrzecz and Gorzów Wielkopolski, the capitals of the region, and stands at the confluence of the rivers Obra and Warta.
The townspeople were predominantly German until the end of World War 2, when the German population was removed and replaced by Poles and Polish speakers from Ukraine and Lithuania.
