Skat (star)
From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.
Skat (or Scheat) (δ Aquarii / Delta Aquarii) is the the third-brightest star in the constellation Aquarius. The name is generally considered to be derived from the arabic word as-saq, meaning "leg" or "shin"; however, it has been argued that the real derivation is from the Arabic ši'at, meaning "wish"[1].
