In the television series M*A*S*H, Dr. Sidney Freedman, played by Allan Arbus, is a psychiatrist frequently summoned in cases of mental health problems.
Freedman helped MASH 4077 in many cases, such as when Hawkeye sleepwalked and had nightmares and another episode where Hawkeye started uncontrollably sneezing psychosomatically. There was also a soldier who claimed his name was Jesus Christ. In addition, Maxwell Q. Klinger tried to convince him that he was mentally ill enough to be discharged, but Dr. Freedman was not fooled for a second.
As a side note, in his first appearance in the series, Dr. Freedman's first name was Milton, not Sidney.
