Shuna

From Biocrawler, the free encyclopedia.

Shuna is one of the Slate Islands in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, lying east of Luing. It is privately owned and not permanently inhabited, although four farm houses are used by holidaymakers. In the 2001 census, Shuna was one of four Scottish islands with a population of one.

Unlike the other Slate Islands, Shuna has little slate, and has historically been farmed. It also has areas of woodland. There are several cairns in the south and west of the small island.
