Shildon

Shildon is a town in County Durham, in England. It is situated to the south of Bishop Auckland and the north of Darlington.
Among its attractions is the Shildon Locomotion Museum, helping mark its connections with the early years of the railway industry, notably through the efforts of Timothy Hackworth. Daniel Adamson, Hackworth's apprentice and a renowned engineer in his own right, was born in Shildon.
