Seal of Georgia

The Seal of Georgia is yellow in color. It has the words "State of Georgia" in the top half of the circle and 1776 on the bottom. The words "Wisdom, Justice and Moderation" are the principles of the United States Constitution, being guarded by a man with a drawn sword. The three pillars stand for the three branches of government of Georgia: legislative, executive and judicial. It was adopted in 1789.
