Haliaeetus is the scientific name of the genus of birds of prey commonly known as the sea eagles.
Well-known members of the genus are the Bald Eagle (H. leucocephalus, the Americas) and the White-bellied Sea Eagle (H. leucogaster, Asia and Australia).
