Seán Moylon

Seán Moylon (1888-1957), was a senior Irish politician. He was first elected in 1921 as a Sinn Féin TD for Cork. He fought the 1932 general election as Fianna Fáil and was successful in being elected. He was first appointed to the Cabinet in 1943 under Eamon de Valera. Moylon was elected to Dáil Éireann at every election until 1957 when he lost his seat. He was subsequently appointed to Seanad Éireann and was then appointed to the Government. He died suddenly just a few months after taking office.
