Södertörn University College

The main building of the institution, Moa's Crescent (Moas båge), takes its name from the writer Moa Martinson, who lived in the vicinity.

The Södertörn University College or Södertörns högskola is a university college located in Huddinge Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. It was inaugurated in 1996 with some 1,000 students. In December 2003, it had 10,000 registered students. Its profile is multidisciplinary and multicultural.

The college hosts BEEGS, the Baltic and East European Graduate School, a project intended as a way to further studies on the Baltic region and East Europe in cooperation with Stockholm University. PhD students that apply and are accepted are accommodated and receive a full salary to finish their theses. The project is funded by the Swedish Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies (Östersjöstiftelsen).
