Prestige

Prestige means good reputation or high esteem, though in earlier usage, it meant showiness. It derives from the same source as prestidigitation, sleight of hand.
The Prestige was a single-hulled oil tanker whose sinking in 2002 off the Spanish coast caused a very large oil spill.
