Nandi

In Hinduism, Nandi is the white bull which Shiva rides, and is the leader of the Ganas.

In western Kenya, the Nandi is an ethnic group or tribe and is a sub-group of the Kalenjin.

Nandi was a daughter of the Langeni tribe and the mother of the legendary Shaka, King of the Zulu.

In Fiji the third largest city is Nadi, which is a pronounced as a homonym for Nandi in the local language of Fijian.
