Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Japan)

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI, 経済産業省; Keizai-sangyo-ō;) is one of ministries of the Japanese government. The Ministry came to being as the result of the merger of MITI and agencies from other ministries related to economical activities in Japan such as the Economic Planning Agency in 2001 Central Government Reform.
