Michael Carroll

Michael Carroll (nicknamed the 'Lotto Lout' by the tabloid press) is a former dustman and £9.7 million lottery winner. Despite his good fortune, he has persisted in continuing the life of petty crime he led before his win, facing charges ranging from drug possession to drunk and disorderly behaviour.

Carroll is seen by many, including the press, as the archetype of the ostentatious chav, owing largely to his behaviour, and a taste for gaudy gold jewellery.
